Author: Superfly Reply #4 Posted: Sep 29 2007 8:17PM

I've seen Mares Atkinson Atha Yore Frederico Loffredo Mario Kane Moore...

Author: Psycho-semi-pro Reply #5 Posted: Sep 29 2007 8:33PM

Correct Gerry. Mario and Kane wer playing Terry Moore/Steve Beine for 7th or better in OD and they stated that the former team were till playing in the ITSF tourny.

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #6 Posted: Sep 30 2007 2:18AM

Someone told me they heard that Mario and Kane were in the OD finals. Can't find anything to verify this.

I thought it was only free until Friday night?

Tim....from the board:.
"Finals today between Rico/Todd (Kingseat) and Billy/Trevor"

Billy and Trev beat Gummy and TMAc in losers side final.

Author: Superfly Reply #8 Posted: Sep 30 2007 2:14PM

I don't know what's happened since last night, but i saw Frederico/Loffredo absolutely destroy Pappas/Park last night to take the Kings Seat. P/P only had six goals in the entire match . I think they got shut out in one game.

I'm watching right now but they seem to be on a break. Canada vs US coming up now 12:15 p.m. Steve Mohs had a great singles match last night and came back from 2 games down to win it with the 8th goal in the 5th game.

Moya doubled

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #11 Posted: Oct 1 2007 2:14PM

Doubled in what events?

Author: van_can_foos Reply #12 Posted: Oct 1 2007 2:28PM

Fredrico won Mixed (he tripled), so I guess Moya took Doubles and Singles. Way to go Moya!

Author: JoKeR Reply #13 Posted: Oct 1 2007 6:09PM

Results can be found????

Author: supergifted1 Reply #14 Posted: Oct 1 2007 9:57PM

way 2 go mo!!! maybe i shuold switch to pullshot

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #15 Posted: Oct 1 2007 10:49PM

Maybe you should switch to being a woman Rob. Then you might have a chance to get lucky in Vegas - not to win at foos, they'd kick your ass, but maybe to pick up some nice sugar daddy ...

Author: greg Reply #16 Posted: Oct 2 2007 1:31AM

Nice shooting Moya, it's nice to hear about all these victories and stuff like that.

Unfortunately I don't remember much of anyone elses results but here goes.

Eric G & Matt B
Open Doubles 24/31
Amateur Doubles 7/8

Matt B
Open Singles 17/24??
-Win over TMAC
-Win over Danna Marr
-Loss to Atha
-Loss to Sergie Argones

Eric G
Amateur Singles 7/8

I'm not sure how Semi went for Matt and Brian but I know they did well beating Zeke and Blundell.

Olavo finished very strong in Open Singles, I don't know the details however I think he finished 13/16. I don't know how Eric D, Mario or Kane finished.

International Qualier finished
1. Eric G. and Matt B.
2. Mario A. and Hugo T.
Kane G. and Olavo T.
4. Brian L. and Simon E.
5. Eric D. and Sean L.
6. Darren C. and Steve ?

Top 3 teams qualified, alternate was a coin flip between Brian and Simon. Simon won and graciously conceded his position to Eric D.

International Event
Round 1 Canada def. Austria 5-1
Round 2 Canada def. Germany 5-1
Finals USA def. Canada 5-2

This is all that I can remember of the results right now. Perhaps someone can fill in the blank spots in my memory.

Congrats to Matt: I had to play Dana Marr 3 or 4 tournaments in a row in Open Singles (we were both laughing when we walked to the table the last time because it was getting so ridiculous). Regardless, I never beat the guy so good on you Matt.

Thanks everyone!

As odd as it sounds it was kinda anticlimactic cause of my shoulder pain. I really just wanted it to be over. Guess that mighta helped out in the long run.

Have to recheck the charts to remind myself of all who I played, but I'm pretty sure I didn't lose a game in singles and only one game in doubles. Can't say that's too bad.

Thanks again to all.

*hugs*

Moya

Have to say the competition was quite stiff at the worlds. Much tougher than when I went last year. There were many out of country players who had a low rank but are masters on their home tables. I lost almost every match on sweat ball. Especially disapointing Matt and I finishing 17/24 in semi doubles losing 2 sweat games when we were up 3-0 and 4-2 in them.

Worlds results are up http://www.minnesotafoosball.com/TournamentList.aspx?trn=WRD07

Looks like the highest Canadian finisher was Matthew Botros at 17-24. Olavo finished 25-33. Congrats Matt on being Canadian National Singles Champion 2007.

Matt & Olavo are the 2007 National Doubles Champs.
