Topic: ITSF General Assembly and Proxy Vote

Author: foosghost Original Message Posted: Oct 19 2007 1:32PM

TSAC will not have a delegate attending at this years ITSF General Assembly (at the ITSF World Championshipos in Italy) - this is where all the major voting takes place on all things ITSF - and yes Canada gets a vote.

This year they are allowing federations that are not in attendance to allow another federation to vote for them. This is called Proxy voting.

So do we want another federation to have that proxy vote, and if so, which federation.

Initial thoughts is yes. and the federation that is most like ours (I guess due to geographic proximity), is the USTSF.

Here's the email i got from the ITSF:

To all ITSF Member federations

Thank you to all of you who have confirmed your participation to the General Assembly on Friday, October 26th.

If you have a delegate at the World Championships who will attend the General Assembly and if you haven't informed us yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Just a reminder that if your federation can not be there, you can give to another federation the right to cast your vote at the General Assembly.

Please let us know to which federation you want to give your proxy vote.

Thank you.

What do people think?

I would agree. However, I think we should touch base with Larry Davis and make sure he understands our point of view on any major issues that may be discussed.

On an unrelated note.. Look at this: http://www.fast4foos.org/. Do you think we can use this for the TSAC website?
