Well I was thinking of donating some money to the cause or running a tournament to raise some cash. I have a couple of 'annual trophies' which haven't been contested for in a while and was thinking it would be nice to start up again. (even if on a smaller scale than previous) I have been thinking about doing this anyway so the timing seems appropriate. I imagine the entry fees would not be to huge but the payouts would be limited or nil so the tournament would be more of a "Status" event as opposed to a "payday score" lol. Also with this format it would be possible to sustain the tournament and make it truely annual. Peter Eric Dunn wrote, > I can't continue the previous thread, as its more than 30 days old. I'm in. My first thought would be to do something similar to what Alan and Dave Cortez did where they put posters up and let people who play at the Commodore know about it a month or so in advance Heck maybe even host the thing at the Commodore since there's a lot more room there if we get a big turn out. They had a decent turn out, I'm not sure exactly how many people but I would say at least 30 people, none of which play at the Soho. Obviously a fair number of them would be beginner/rookies or just unranked people, so perhaps having 2 seperate tournaments is best. Then again maybe they'll enjoy getting their butt whooped just for the experience and seeing some of the Masters play, who knows. If you guys are close with the owner of the Soho and decide to host it there perhaps he could donate some prizes for the place there in hopes of bringing in a lot of money from the people coming in that night, and possibly more regular foosers. Hey Guys: OttawaFoos has collected fees for TSAC for the past couple of years. Is that going to continue? I can just ask Taha. Chris |

Hey Chris. keep collecting. we're going to be ramping up a membership drive pretty soon (as we need to pay our ITSF sanctioning fee for this year) btw. how much have you collected so far? Taha - if chris doesnt see this, and reply, can you get in contact with him. Thanks. |
