Topic: VancouverFoosball.com site is down?
There is no way the website is down... it just can't be down... I say this because Onur's looking after the website and he's a programmer.
You're just opening your noise hole attacking Onur again, aren't you? Onur is trying his best so just give him a few more weeks to get things working. Sure the website will be down for a few weeks but in the end Onur will do it, you just wait and wait, and wait and you will see.

We are setting up a new hosting account with a new company since Peter wanted to remain the owner of the hosting and domain. He ran into a bit of a snag in the registration process, I'll be talking to him tonight when I get home from work.

Well seems that internet business is not always the fastest. They say it could be 5 days until the site is up and running, start counting today. After failed attempts using email to get various authorizations needed to transfer the domain to a differant provider I resorted to calling Australia to get some needed info. I'll proccess the switch in a couple hours after I run some errands.

Australia? Not sure why you'd have to phone there... what the heck did you do? :P Anyways, we'll talk tonight. You can phone any time after 9pm since I have kickboxing class until 8:30.

Pete - DO NOT TRANSFER THE DOMAIN!!!.... just change the DNS server info to where the new host is. The reason for not transferring the domain is so you have more control over the domain. Having the same company look after your domain and hosting isn't good and is not recommended - they then have too much control. You can leave your domain at godaddy.com which is one of the cheaper domain resellers out there. The godaddy.com owner is kind of a knob but the company is pretty up and up.
Changing the DNS pointer should take effect in just a few hours... things aren't like they were years ago where it took 1-3 days. Now things usually happen much faster and in just hours. Sure you might get cutting in and out but the move should happen quick quickly.
I just realized that I must be just repeating stuff that Onur already told you... sorry about that... don't mean to be an echo... :o>

Twinkle I don't care for your continuing Onur noise hole sarcastic comments. Didn't you read what Onur wrote? He's a kickboxer. Are you scared? What are you going to do if he's the actual kickboxing teacher rather than student? He didn't indicate which so I would be careful as he might not just be talking this time.
Yah, that's right, I'm more sarcastic than you Twinkle - lollypop laugh
Although I am a fan of MMA I think that they have their own forum.
Oh and I will point the DNS in the right direction, btw wtf is a DNS?
All kidding aside I got caught up in the playoff game tonight and will have to do it tomorrow. Night.

Crank, I'm not sure who you are. I appreciate the support but we don't need to start the whole thing up again, I'd rather just leave it be. Thanks though.
Pete, if you've got the hosting account registered and setup we should be good, don't worry about the transfer. By DNS he actually meant nameserver, the hosting server will have its own primary and secondary nameserver you need to point the domain to. There should be an option in the domain management admin panel to set that, but I'm not sure what those nameservers need to be set to at the moment.
Phone me any time tomorrow and we'll sort it out.
I wasn't supporting you, if anything the opposite.
Apparently sarcasm doesn't work both ways. Damn the internet and its lack of emotion!
Cute how Twinkle and Crank post almost instantly after one another though, or even in the same minute. They must be telepathic.

Onur: you know what's even more cute: that you wrote, "I appreciate the support"... lol... it was priceless - gut laughter.. I loved it... I almost pissed myself I laughed so hard when I read that... lol...
Pete: I actually did mean "DNS", and that's because it stands for 'domain name server'. Since you have a domain it's a useful computer acronym you can add to your list.
Onur: Peter is correct and this isn't a MMA site however I would still like to be able to accept your MMA challenge, I mean kickboxing challenge. I think I've seen this sport 'kickboxing' on tv before and it looks very interesting. Okay, I confirm, I will accept your challenge. You couldn't back up your talk so maybe this will give you some teenage redemption.

Grow up and act your age. At no point did I challenge you to a kickboxing match.
Tell you what though, it sounds like you really want to work on this site, go ahead and do so. I won't touch the site again. It sounds like you had a great relationship with everyone though with the way people talk about you, everyone loves your attitude. I don't need to volunteer my time and be hassled by children. I just had fun going to the Soho and playing foosball, I wish I stuck to doing just that. People like you are why there aren't many people coming back to the Soho and getting into foosball, and probably a big reason why the foosball community in Vancouver is as small as it is. Enjoy.
Pete, I'm sure he's more than capable to help you out. Sorry, I don't have time to waste bickering with a 10 year old.

but you wanted to... I'm a line reader, between the lines of course.
yes, it's true, as tears roll down my cheeks.. I'm a nasty player and I do nothing but yell and scream and fight with all the other players. Between me and you, I was banned from the club a few times for having a poor attitude and yelling at the tables for being bad - how did you think all of those holes in the wall happened. Yup, foos rage.. I've got it and I just can't control it... gut laugher.. I'm funny no?
And you can't quit, quiting is for kids... come on, everyone thinks you are talker so if you can make the chart and add the silly buttons you'll show us all. I know at heart you are a talker just like your 'DNS actually he meant' comment but I do have faith. Well, actually I don't but I do figure that if anyone wants to do something they can - all they have to do is try.
