Did you get your invoice in for the upgrade kit? I sent it in and Dave Courington said they would hopefully have them in a few weeks for the handles, side strips, and balls. I didn't ask which side strips and balls they were going to use but I would expect maybe the really rubbery balls and the thinnest plastic strip. I'd also check your table. I decided to test my table when I got home from Vegas and discovered it was concave, so Dave's going to send me the levelers he was using there and I'll see if I'm happy with that otherwise I'll have them send me a new surface. Just a heads up. PS John, yes you can bank now with the new side strips. |

P.S. No John, you can't bank now but people who can actually bank can bank now. That was for your shot about who my partner was in the DYP at Worlds (Frederico, Billie, etc.. Mwahahahahaaaaa! |

Hey Nelson, I recently emailed the invoice to Dave Courington for the upgrade kit. Thanks for reminding us about the crown on the table surface. Last week, Rob G showed us how terribly curved it was, so I also requested the levelers from Mr. Courington. If the levelers are unsatisfactory, is removing the original playfield very difficult? PS John, when the side strips arrive, you should come by and teach us rookies how it's done. |

Replacing the field isn't too bad, it's just takes time. If you look inside the table, you'll notice it's on a rail and there are a bunch of screws holding it in place. You basically need to undo all these screws and slide (push down from above or lift off) it out from the top of the cabinet. However, this means that you need to take off the entire top half of the table so it's a bit of a hassle. |
