Sorry everyone I still cant confirm whether or not there will be a foosapalooza. If SML can finalize the venue then it will probably be april 17-19. I can't give any more details than that right now, as I have very limited control. Once they tell me the event is either on or off for sure, i'll give more details.

If this tournament is a go, it will be on the new table (t-3000) and will have the new balls that were used at the HOFC in vegas.

If foosapalooza is not going to run, I will be running my own tournament in the summer, in either calgary or edmonton.

If you hold your own tournament you should call it the "Canadian Open Foosball Classic"...

where have i heard that before?...

Ok - I have officially heard that SML can't provide tables for Foosapalooza. Sorry for getting your hopes up, it was quite difficult getting any real answers out of SML about what was going on. I thought it was best to put something on the board because they told me it was going to happen but they weren't sure of dates.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, I will run a decent sized tournament this year.

Frickin' recession...

We are looking at running a 2 day tournament in Calgary sometime this spring. Possibly 2 doubles and 2 singles events and a DYP.

Author: domi nate Reply #6 Posted: Apr 7 2009 9:59AM

I'm there. The events could be Open and No-Pro.

I think you would get a bunch of people from edmonton down. I would let everyone at our tournament know for sure, and maybe try to arrange a car pooling set up.

Do you know where you are getting tables from? If you are interested, Chad and I own 7 tables(or once SML delivers our new T3000's we will) between the two of us. We could work out bringing down some, or if you have it soon we could just keep them in calgary until the tournament and then bring them up after.

Depending on the dates, there's could be about 6-8 guys from Regina that would make the trip to Calgary.
