Last night the BYP went pretty good. We had 14 people and it was pretty stiff competition. Everyone in the tournament was pretty good, there were no people that had never seen a snake shot before.
Christian and Garry won, even though it looked like christian was sleeping while he played. Rick and Ivor from Calgary were in town and played well also.
1st place: Christian and Garry 2nd place: Rick and Ivor 3rd place: Will and Jon

Christian was sleeping- just as long as he's awake this weekend.
BTW
Roger will complain about me getting listed ahead of him with the same amount of points- so give me 1 more-lol

How do the beginner tournaments factor into the points?
|
|
They don't factor in at all. However the points can be affected by pro/am draws. Ben, who drew Ivor in the last pro am, is a really good beginner. Ben gained lots of points for winning it.
You play as a pro in the pro/am's so you don't have the chance of drawing a top pro to play with, and it makes it harder.

That makes sense. My main concern was rookies getting points from the beginner tournaments and being over-ranked when travelling to tournaments. Locally we all know how everyone stacks up as far as skill is concerned. I'm not too concerned about my points right now. Even though I've played for what seems like forever I've never really dedicated the time required to actually get good at the game. Hopefully this time will be different. I'm beginning to feel like Brett Favre I've retired so many times
