Two coming up:

1. Saturday June 20th
BYP - 1 pm, 3 man roto dyp 5 pm at the summit in puyallup (I think this is closer to the border, but I don't know for sure).

2. August 15th and 16th - Washington State Open (with possible dyp on the Friday, the 14th)

This one should have lots of events, Open Singles, Doubles, Amateur and Senior events as well.

The Washington State Open just got posted, so more info will come out soon.

Since they are so far down the road, I eagerly await them knowing full well that I will plan to go and then, with a few days left, decide I loathe the idea of going to foos tourneys and stay at home.

The expectation leaves an almost palpable taste ...

August? Yes. June? Maybe. It's really hard to commit to going for a DYP + BYP for one day. I mean yes we can play a BYP but then we might draw someone really horrible in the DYP and the rest of the night you play darts or whatever.

Puyallup is pretty far btw. Or well, it's not too much closer.

bump so i dont forget about august

Well, since I forgot about them, I guess the 20th is out. But the August one seems tempting. I will plan to go for at least another week or so before I decide it is not worth the effort.

If you wanna partner up, I may entertain the idea of going Tim.

Just bumping this one..

Kirkland is about an hour closer than The Summit. Think it's not that much further than Dantes, but I'm sure someone will post more accurate details. *cof* Craig *cof* :p

Tornado tables, incase anyone missed it, but...sorry Rob, no idea whether they are "tour specific" enough for you....LOL! Dude...*rolls eyes*

Anyways..

Just a lil ole bump for our US peeps.

Distance-wise, this is the same as Dante's but going down I-405 instead of I-5 (Sorry Roger, no exit 69).

Tim...I know your pondering.

You in or what.

Author: foosghost Reply #12 Posted: Aug 1 2009 11:36PM

So who's seriously considering going to this? Looks like a good warm up for worlds.

if you're going, when do you plan on heading down, and returning? any room for me?

Author: Red Pepper Reply #13 Posted: Aug 2 2009 12:28PM

I have been thinking about it quite a bit, although my determining factors are finding a partner and a ride down there. I do know Robert and Nelson are going, not sure about anyone else.

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #14 Posted: Aug 2 2009 8:29PM

I'm still pondering but really have no idea when I will decide. It's 12 days away so I figure I have plenty of time. The fact that finding partners at the last minute is difficult will only help me to waffle further and eventually back out, but I'm not promising anything yet.

And I'm not sure I'd have a car - maybe the wife would let me swap. Mine has been temperamental of late. It's now a teenager and we all know how moody and filled with angst they can be.

Author: Viper Reply #16 Posted: Aug 4 2009 11:54PM

I don't have a partner so at the moment I am not going

Author: Nelson Reply #17 Posted: Aug 5 2009 12:43AM

There are 3 of you without partners. I suggest you guys partner up?

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #18 Posted: Aug 8 2009 11:14AM

Very little chance I'll make it unless MAYBE, just MAYBE, someone wants to whip down for the Saturday only or the Sunday only.

Author: The Next One. Reply #19 Posted: Aug 9 2009 6:43PM

I may go for just the day, whatever day the open singles is...

Author: foosghost Reply #20 Posted: Aug 9 2009 11:16PM

I'm not able to attend this event after all.

Good luck to all that can attend.

Cya at Worlds!

Hey Eric!!!!
If it turns out I can't go, do you want to not play Open Doubles together?
Tim

i guess ill go do you have room nelson

Author: Nelson Reply #23 Posted: Aug 12 2009 1:06AM

I believe I have room for one more in my car. You're free to come. Give me a call on Friday so we can work out what time we're leaving. I think 7 am on Saturday morning, returning sunday night after the tournament. I'll probably pick you up from your place if you're still in Surrey. Steve, can you give me or Gingell a call? I need to arrange what time i'm picking you up on Saturday morning as well.
