Topic: Look what I bought at a garage sale this morning

The table is mint. Even comes with the ashtrays. I bet this hasn't had more than 50 games on it. Time to buy some pledge!
wow , that brings back some good memories.
Cool
Oh the memories those pics bring back.
Are those the original legs?- look different than what I remember-I know it's a home version and I only played on 1 of those- at Sanj's house(another blast from the past)

TS brown top, that's the table ... back-pinners and bank shooters heaven. That table was made for me, i wish they were still around.
I agree with the bank shooters comment- they were the best for that- very consistent.
As far as back-pinners- I find it easier to shoot back pins on a Tornado- although variables like the balls make a huge impact on being able to shoot them on a Tornado. I rarely played singles/forward on TS-usually just doubles/defence so maybe that's why my preference for back pins is Tornado(and the nets are huge- making dead men shots so much easier).

The new T-3000 is a good back pin table, i was the only person that i saw shooting it in Vegas.
LMAO about the pledge ... we used to use it to lube the rods too ha ha ... mmmmmm that lemony smell.

"The new T-3000 is a good back pin table, i was the only person that i saw shooting it in Vegas."
I wasn't in Vegas in the spring- last year worlds though.
I have always thought I was the only real dinosaur out there shooting it- have always wanted to have a challenge facing one as opposed to shooting one-lol
Maybe if you come to Canadians in October, we may face each other and anyone watching will think "WTF" lol

Made in Taiwan, according to the documentary "foos be the greatest"

I used to have a brown top. Loved it.
They had some in Japan when I was visiting there. The handles were too thick and slick for a rollover but banks, back pins etc were lots of fun.
Now all you need is a record player and some 70s LPs ad you will really be "feelng groovy"

We might have to throw a small retro DYP. I would like to see Greg U shoot some pins on this table with some chicken head fakes.
I believe Regg used to shoot a pull kick on TS- I may b wrong tho.
So when is the tournament?
Dead man pull kicks, believe it or not, push kicks, plus of course the back pin banks on 3-bar. I can't believe you found a table with no broken men. Nice pics. What good/bad memories it does bring back.
My first table was the coin-op version of this one....top looked identical. I think I still have spare men, not to mention at least one can of lemon pledge!
**Are those the original legs? The coin-op had very solid 4X4 posts as legs, with plastic caps ("boots" ?) on the bottom. (Standard levelling called for pulling off the plastic caps and adding as many beer coasters as required.)
I had a home model in '78 or so. It looked like that but had the butcher block legs with caps, like Gerry described on the coin-op. I used playing cards to level. Pain in the ass, actually.
I think that's the low-end home model. It's really hard to find one that looks that good anymore though!
Yes, I can confirm it's a good table for the push kick. Smaller goals, but more options. But back then it was 50% pulls, 25% back-pins, and then kick shots after that.

WOW!! Hi Richard. Talk about a lurker.
Are the table men look happy, sad or indifferent?
lol
It takes a blast from the past to bring out Richard-go figure- it's been 25 years since I've heard from him.
How are u doing?
Richard, was your '78 table a Brown Top or Blue Top. I had a home model blue top with the straight legs when I was 15. I think with the brown tops they changed the legs on the home model.
I am certain of few things in life. But I can tell you with 100% confidence that it was a brown top.
Hi Garry. It's been a bit less than 25 years... I last watched your impressive backpin series at the COFC in Sept. 2004.
Really??? Saskatoon???
My bad- my memory is going almost as fast as my game-lol
Are you planning on coming out for the tourney in October?
Nice reunion you guys got going on this thread, love it!
