Topic: im quitting foos at soho until the tables are upda
ted, to the new style of tables, that means the handles, men , and balls.i refuse to pat one more red cent or loonie .as soon as its done i will make an effort to show up.
what difference do any of those things make? They probably amount to a 5% change in play. These are bar tables, they will always be in rough shape. The biggest factor for the Tornado table has/is/was/always-will-be the ball.
so you;ll refuse to play when you go to any big tournament is what your saying, because at every tournament the handles men, and balls change even from table to table.
If Robbie is waiting for the tables at Soho to change I am afraid that Robbie will never be going back, unless Tornado changes what they currently use.
i think ill watch 30 rock instead. btw handles , men and balls , so it goes from wood to plastinc handles and the size of grip on the foot changes and the balls go from sticky to slick on every different table? wat have u been smoking buddy? well i think i got my answer. ill prolly just buy a new table and practice at home or go to seattle and support them, they prolly update their tables at least ever 20 years or so so they should have more current tables.i cant force others to follow suit but i can only control my own actions.
btw 5% difference to a master is a huge difference, only a beginner wouldnt be able to tell, but then again , some masters play for hours with a broken pin or man without noticing but thats not something to brag about. the loonies i save by not showing up will pay for my new table.

I was speaking in code... as the tables were upgraded the other day. Handles were not replaced.
What was changed ... the men ... the balls ... the side strips ... or all of the above?
jus lemme know when the handles are replaced n ill b there. btw, that means every handle not just 2
men, side strips, bearings, balls. Are the new handles hard plastic or soft? imo plastic sucks because many need a wrap or it is slippery, that means that casual players will not enjoy the game. I always felt the wood handles were a big plus on the tornado table. Anyone have an oppinion that has used the new handles? Do you use a wrap? Is a wrap necesary? Are they a differant shape?
I think the new new new new new handles are a softer plastic. The plastic ones from 2 or 3 year were the hard plastic that got super slippery after 5 mins.
I don't think it's a big deal at all, but thats me.
its a hard plastic, not slippery, its not as good as the new wood but feels the same as the wood ones after they are slightly broken in, i dont need a wrap on tuans new table.
you don't need a wrap on soho tables either...
I prefer the new handles. They don't chip and they're actually slightly grippy. You can do a rollover well without a wrap for those that actually use a wrap normally.
Upgrades were good. Tables played nice. Felt like a brand new table.
Appreciate the upgrade for sure. Although Tuan had to swap out the 3 rows as someone put the goalie 3 bar on the forward 3 bar....
i cant play with these handles , im gonna wait for the new plastic ones
You've played 10 years with these handles...
whatever!!!! youll be there before the handles stop whining!!!
Thx for the upgrades dfender (-;
I thinks Robs ok with the handles, it's just that i think he wants a complete upgrade and not a 70% upgrade. what did you call it a frankenstein upgrade?
