I wanna sell mine. It's a t-2000, gray marble, coin-op version. The same table like they have at Soho. The goal posts are (slightly) chipped but all rods are straight and run smoothly, also I have spare men and pins and about 20 decent balls.
Let me know if you are interested, or wanna have a look at it.

Screw those two losers. Buy a Chinese table from me instead. It will even come with an indentured Chinese stowaway inside at no extra cost.

If you buy two you can have their whole family!

Let me know fast, after 1.3 billion tables sold I will need to move to a new country.

If you have truly been away for 30 years then it is advisable that you decide what table you would like to play on. Most tables today do not play similar to tables in the 70's-80's. I would recommend tornado even though their newer tables aren't as durable as their older ones.

thanks for the replies!

Is there a local distributor for new Tornado tables?

Fredrock:
I figured you were above the need for audible or written accolades. I enjoyed your comment even though your math was off. If you built and sold 1.3 billion tables, who would ship the last table once it was in its packing crate? Additionally, the "buy two" plan limits your total production as you would eventually reach a point where one of the key components of the product was missing. All in all, an unsound business strategy.

Gary A:
One thing about Tornado tables is the used ones are usually in pretty good shape and you would save some bucks over a brand new one. My Tornado table is over 20 years old and in great shape. I like to think I could sell it for more than I paid for it (if I wanted to sell it). If you do want used, I'm not sure who you would contact but I would strongly recommend NOT dealing with Fredrock (a.k.a. ButHeDoesn'tLookAsian).

Ack!!!!!
Gary, I meant in the last sentence there "if you do want new" and not "if you do want used".
Normally I proofread what I write but the indentured servants I got with my last two tables from Fredrock are bored and making too much noise. Their antics distracted me.

Tim, have you been cooking your food in Aluminum frying pans, or brushing your teeth with toothpaste full of Aluminum, or maybe using deodorant full of aluminum? Well, too much Aluminum leads to Alzheimers.

The new Chinese table is really improved. Video of it coming in a few weeks on Foosballboard.com. And Tim, there is no aluminum in it.

The Chinese use iron woks, never brush their teeth (at least the taxi drivers I get don't) and never use deodorant. They never get alzheimers as they die way before that due to lung cancer from smoking or perhaps because of getting mistreated while serving their indentured masters like Tim.

Gary, welcome to the community. I am the comic relief. Tim and others will get me back here both on and off the table. I hope you enjoy your new table.

Tim, time for your next dose of Aluminum? Johnny, where are you with the rim shot?

BTW, announcing the late December welcome back foosball night complete with gifts from Fred including: Kung Fu and 1930s Shanghai harlottes playing cards, Starbucks shirts for Mrs. Tench and for Moya, and Mao's little red book for Tim and any other closet communists. No Tim, not that closet...

I also found a killer A class knockoff watch guy. They were behind the second set of fake shelves in the back of his sales stall. Not cheap at US$350 to US$500 per watch but my god did they look real! At least double that if you bought it on the street in New York. Put your orders in now...

I can also get you a Mao waving (Mickey Moouse style) watch for US$5 if you are cheap. I have pics if interested. They can't usually get a particualr model but if you desribe the colours and features and can try to find something close. Patek Phillipe, Rolex, Breitling, Omega and more. Nice stuff. Tim, I will see if he has any in Aluminum.

I am dedicating this bit of levity to today's birthday boy Robbie Shin who was one of my first foosball teachers and one of my best friends in foosball. He should also be very healthy as well because believe me, he never wears deodorant! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Shinhacker.

Fred
PS See you all in about the 3rd week of December.

Fred, sounds great! I look forward to seeing you again this winter. I think it is prudent that you send me the money ahead of time this year as the US Customs Agency is putting the heat on Canadian Border Guards for letting in knock-offs. I think 10k large should clear your path through Customs.

Cheers

Apparently the SOHO in Yaletown is the place to play - any others in Vancouver that you guys go to?

Author: Superfly Reply #13 Posted: Nov 20 2009 12:07PM

Commadore Bowling on Granville has some tables, but i'm not sure which ones or the condition they're in. For an area the size of Greater Vancouver, you're likley to find the best players in the province on the two tables at Soho any given Friday or Sunday evening.

SOHO it is - see ya'll tonight!
