Last Night we did Open Doubles BYP and No Pro Singles.

In Open Doubles there was some really strong teams and some really really good matches.

Simon and Shane's game against Garry and Christian (although I was playing at the time) sounded really intense. Ben and I had two very close matches with Tom and Chad. They won the first one and we won the second one, all 6 games were close - and really intense.

Roger and Blair had some really good games, they gave Ben and I a run for our money as well, and I expect them to do well in future events if they play together again too.

Christain and Garry really impressed me yesterday. Its hard to say that when the two players who have the most tournament wins are partnered up. Also its hard to say that when the Edmonton team that placed highest at the two last major tournaments are playing together... Either way, they did more yesterday than I have seen out of any team at our local events, and REALLY deserved the win.

Also Chad deserves a shout out here, he played really good in the two games we had against eachother, scoring a lot from the back, making a lot of blocks, clearing high percentage, and just playing calm the whole time.

Results:
1st: Christian and Garry
2nd: Ben and Will
3rd: Tom and Chad

Singles this Tuesday!

Thanks for the props Will. Good tourney by alot of teams, not just us. You and Ben are an up and coming team and beating Tom & Chad the second time, and taking out Simon & Shane are big wins.

Christian played great last week- his 5 bar D that even he would admit was his weakest part of his game impressed the hell out of me(If he gets it going consistently he may be untouchable... ) I tried out a different D on Tom(thanks to Will's pointers from prior weeks) as he shot 110% on me the last time we played...lol.

Our match against Shane & Simon was a great match, win or lose, luckily we made some timely switches and won. This gave us lots of confidence going forward and we played at a very high level after that.

Not sure if I'm able to make it Tuesday- will be a last minute thing if I can though.

What are the events running tonight ...open singles .

Expert singles or no-pro also ?

I may or maynot be able to get out this Tuesday, although I am trying to escape.

We will be doing all three events again. We will be seeding the singles open draw tonight. A big thanks to ben for adding all the points into our netfoos player accounts so that this is possible. We'll see how it goes and maybe keep doing that for open events.
