Topic: Edmonton Singles Results Dec 15 Points Update

On Tuesday we had Open Singles and No-Pro Singles, it was a really good event and we probably had more first round upsets this week than ever before. Maybe this is a sign of some new players starting a rise to the top of the foos scene.

First of all, Congratulations to Paul. Seriously what a great event for a guy whose singles results always seem to be great - but this time he took it to the next level. Paul had an amazing win over Chris in the final of No-Pro Singles, taking the title in a thriller that went to 9-7 (win by 2).

Also worth mentioning is Mike Johnston's amazing performance in Expert Singles - in Expert singles there was a really strong field, filled with players like Ben, Lindsey, Jamie, Chris, Tobin, Carey etc... Mike went through most of them two weeks ago but we had to postpone the event because of the time. It came down to Ben and Mike playing to see who got to play agianst Lindsey in the final. Mike beat Ben 7-0 in a remarkable game, and ended up taking second place in the event. Great job Mike, your game is really good.

Also worth noting are Chris, Tobin, and Sam - Chris had his first ever win against a Pro(and a top one at that), Tobin took Christian to 5-3 in the 3rd game after beating Carey in his first game, and Sam beat Lindsey. Great work everyone.

I think Garry, Tom, and myself all had off weeks, I actually felt bad after beating Garry because it was so sloppy.

Finally Lindsey deserves some credit for sure. Congrats on winning Expert Singles, way to go man.

"Tobin took Christian to 5-3 in the 3rd game"

He actually took it all the way to 4-4 3rd game if I recall correctly. Tobin played a helluva game and is definitely a great player with a lot of potential. Just don't be so hard on yourself cause I think you're a much better player than you give yourself credit for.

"I think Garry, Tom, and myself all had off weeks, I actually felt bad after beating Garry because it was so sloppy."

I've had an off couple weeks- but with everything that is going on in my life right now- I come out to "get away" and not think about all the other stuff.

A win is a win regardless of the circumstances and how it was won. They don't remember how many good goals you scored, they only remember who won-and it was deserved by you and Chris.

I will not be out for the next couple weeks as I have alot to do outside xmas.

All the best in the Holiday Season to everyone and their families.
