We will be doing a pro/am draw this week.

Then we will do Open Doubles/BYP the next tuesday after that.

This Tuesday Jan 5th. We should have Open doubles D.Y.P....handycap ?

Been absent for a bit, so will be looking for some action to get warmed up again. Saturday anyone going to Gateway or BeerHunter in the west end?

Any Calgary players coming around town for Tuesday night? Tell us about the new location of Bootleggers!

BYP's are never handicapped as far as I know. I don't think it would be a good idea to start handicapping them either. We only play a BYP once a month I think.

I think it goes

Pro/Am DYP
Straight Draw DYP
Singles
BYP

Not sure if this is the correct order but none of these are handicapped unless two rookies get drawn together. And based on your points I don't think you qualify

Our rotation is not really specific, I try to go:
Pro/Am Draw
BYP
Singles

Sometimes we obviously do other events, like pro/am byp or strait dyp.

I don't really do the strait DYP because it really used to suck for the beginner guys that had no chance... I guess now, as Shane pointed out last week, we really don't have beginners now. They have all turned into very competent players.

Time to go get some newbies I guess - we have plans to run a beginner tournament that will run at the same time as the world cup in june (soccer world cup not foosball world cup) and be "World Cup" themed. We are going to target people that play and watch soccer and try to get them to sign up and hopefully run a big tournament. If they have fun i'll try to get them out to league...
