| Topic: Edmonton TFL (VIFA) League Final Tournament |

I wanted to get some opinions on how to run the finals for the TFL (VIFA) league this year. My intention is to collect $5/person entry at every league event and put all of the proceeds into the final tournament. There will be singles and BYP doubles events with a 1/3 2/3 split in payout. Players will be required to play a minimum of 8 weeks to qualify or simply make up the difference in cash for weeks missed. I'm planning to hold the event on Saturday February 27 starting at 2:00PM. If anyone has objections to this plan please post them here for discussion. I'm still waiting on some info from TFL regarding handicaps but I'm hoping to have handicaps sorted out before the next event. I will post a list of handicaps that I think players should have based on netfoos points and my knowledge of their games for discussion. I would like this league to be as democratic as possible. I won this event today. Just as a heads up for those that didn't attend. Thanks to those who did come, good effort and better luck next time! Chad and I won the doubles, I won singles. |

Lol. Ya I didn't actually go to gateway. I'm pretty sure no one went -what day are we going tocplay the final? How much does it cost for players to buy in if they havn't attended yet? I assume it will be handicapped, but the payouts will be awesome. |

I'm planning to run the tournament March 13. I'll post some more details when everything is worked out. The league is now over for this season. I won't be there tomorrow (Thursday). It will be nice to get back to playing on Tuesday. Two nights per week was too much for me a lot of the time. |
