Topic: Two questions

Author: ButHeDoesntLookAsian Original Message Posted: Jan 28 2010 9:36AM

1) Why is my Chinese better than Mitch, Nelson, Des, Tony T., and Fred Quan?

2) Why do those two "camera whores" Dave and Jeff keep sneaking in my video shots?

haha, f off bucko!! It really tied in when Tony finished the piece....he's really such a great player, and sportsman. Good job on the video ass bag! i was suprised to see what's his name in there, after all the blow ups lol.

First "Camera Ho" now "Thread Ho". My GOD!

Do I have to room with you in Vegas? Chainsaw is looking for a roomie. Maybe I should bunk with him?

Did you like my Chinese?

I saw in the Sun online how the best Chinese food is found in Vancouver. My Chinese friends here said that this is just capitalist propoganda and that I should go to a re-education camp.

is banana a racist term?

Author: Nelson Reply #6 Posted: Jan 28 2010 2:29PM

No it's not. Or at least I don't think it is.

I'm interested in how Fredrock's Chinese can be better than Nelson's given that there is no such language as Chinese. Perhaps he means Mandarin? If he really was any good at one of the various Chinese dialects, Shirley he would have known that. And yes, I am calling him Shirley.

Forgot about the second question ...

Fredrock, if you quit paying man whores, they stop getting in your things.

Author: Superfly Reply #9 Posted: Jan 28 2010 6:25PM

Sure there's a Chinese language sourgrapes & mold

I will need to trust you on the man ho's, Tim. You obviously have tons of experience here. I guess too many nights in the Luv Affair when their foosball table was not working?

Chinese is indeed a language, Mandarin is a dialect. If you were an egg like me you would have known that...

Hence my self inflicted nick-name.

Nelson you are white, or at least a banana. But Dave isn't. Ha ha. When we room together I get him to tiidy up and do my laundry. Right Hop-Sing - I mean Dave?

LOL. So Nels, what about my Mandarin? It only took me 57 takes!

But Blunderfly, if you had read from the actual wiki page you would see the following:
Chinese or the Sinitic language(s) (simplified Chinese: 汉语; traditional Chinese: 漢語; pinyin: Hànyǔ; simplified Chinese: 华语; traditional Chinese: 華語; pinyin: Huáyǔ; simplified Chinese: 中国话; traditional Chinese: 中國話; pinyin: Zhōngguóhuà; or Chinese: 中文; pinyin: Zhōngwén) is a language family....

In other words, as I said, Chinese is NOT a language. There are many languages that fit within the Chinese language group including Mandarin, Cantonese, Toisan, Shanghainese, etc. But none of them is Chinese language. One would think an egg (or, in Fred's case, a pei don) would know this.

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #12 Posted: Jan 28 2010 10:52PM

Sorry, I meant to write "... none of them is the Chinese language ..."

Additionally, you will note from the list that they are actually talking more about the written form which is common to all (?most?) dialects. Even then, there is no single written form that can lay claim to being the Chinese language - rather there are a variety of written forms.

Of course, what would I know. I'm not even an egg.

Grasshopper who tries to hijack thread sometimes wakes up in Grasshopper soup...

Now as I was saying, "how about my Chinese"?

Mama huhu?

Ha ha.

Author: Desmond Reply #14 Posted: Jan 29 2010 1:16AM

And Fred, How would you know what my grasp of the Chinese language is like? We've only really had a few conversations in English (or some dialect of the English language....it sure wasn't Newfy)

Author: Desmond Reply #15 Posted: Jan 29 2010 1:18AM

By the way, I'm in Mexico now and apparently they speak Mexican here, not Spanish

Author: ButHeDoesntLookAsian Reply #16 Posted: Jan 29 2010 2:32AM

Nothing against your guestimated Chinese skills. More about my incredible Mandarin skills. Ha Ha. Just kidding.

I always try to be a little provocative or funny so my threads get read.

Have fun in Mexico.

And here i thought most people stop reading your threads at : ButHeDoesntLookAsian .

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #18 Posted: Jan 29 2010 3:03AM

I don't even read Fred's threads. I just hijack them. However, on point, how about those Saints?

Author: ButHeDoesntLookAsian Reply #19 Posted: Jan 29 2010 8:14AM

Two very obvious cases of thread envy!

Sigh, my gift is my curse. Never has anyone with so little foos talent been so well read! Tim and John keep trying though.

You two should get out more. Don't worry, I will text you when I post something!
