Dave <---- Author: Desmond Reply #2 Posted: Mar 6 2010 1:11PM I'm sitting worst case 1- 12th in AM doubles. We were playing the match for 1 - 4th place and beat them 5 - 0 first game. They came back and beat us 5-4 second game. Third game they were leading 4 - 0, I bricked him a few times, my partner would score (4-1), then I'd brick them a few more times, my partner would score (4-2), then I'd brick them a couple more times, then my partner would score (4-3) then I bricked them a couple more times, and then the goalie from the back rips a tic tac push kick from the back and gets it in the far hole..... It was close. I was supposed to cover near so my partner wasn't mad at me at all but near the end their goalie was running out of shots so just started tic tacking back and forth fast allowing our zone to break down. We'll see how it goes this morning, hopefully we'll advance a bit more. Their goalie said that he started copying my defense when he saw that it was working so well for me. Their forward shook my hand and said that it was some of the best defense they'd seen all weekend. Shane, keep doing your push kicks and pull kicks....those are the guys that are shutting me down and don't have enough time to adapt. Roger, we played a push shooter and that was a tight match.
