I don't have the points update ready but I wanted to post about the event right away so here goes: We did singles last night, with only 12 people showing up. It was one of the worst turnouts ever, although we did have two new players which is always fun. I want to hear from guys that didn't come, was it format related? Carey Rog Darcy Paul Christoff or whoever, does singles not interest anyone as much or was it just coincidence that lots of people couldn't show up? Anyway about the event. There was a few crazy games, and one really crazy draw. Christian and I played first round, Simon played Ben. Sam had to play winner of me and Christian and then loser of SImon and Ben, it was tough. Also Garry hadcto play Simon and then me which was also a tough draw. Chris stepped his game up to yet another level last night. He could have beaten Simon, after taking the first one 5-4 he was up 4-3 in the second. I am not sure how many saves Simon had to make, but one time the ball fell to chris's 3 bar and chris swung at it with a virtually empty net. He missed the net and spun which got the ball to simon's 5. Simon converted and ended up winning. Simon hacked really well in that second game, scoring at least 2 from his 5 bar. Mike also had a really solid showing, beating Des on meat ball and then losing to Christian on meat ball. He puts up a tough fight and really catches guys off guard in singles. Good playing mike. Chad and I had a battle too, I think it was only two games but he was passing and scoring really well, I definatly got my share of bounces in that match. Nah I really like singles, I just couldn't make it. On a side note, does anyone else live on the north side and want to get some occassional practice in during the week sometime? |

I don't remember scoring any hacks, but I that doesn't suprise me. I scored a few two bar push shots that Chris was leaving open. Chris played great and shot well. The way I was playin he probably should have beat me, so should have Ben. I pretty much sucked all night. I should have been out in two. |

I would of played singles ...needed more time that day for family/work/ and a couple of other required time restricted demands that let Table soccer night off my list yesterday. Would like to know if Saturday afternoons could be another time slot option for competition play? Fireball tables when and where they coming ?? |

Fireball.. It's only a maybe and it's doubtful that we will be putting then in bars, although it's possible I guess. If we do something with fireball it will beaten September. Saturday afternoons would be ok but I don't know how many people can play 2-3 times a week. I would meet you down there on saturday sometimes if you just want to play some games though! |
