June 5th 2010 at Toby Magee’s (12811 8th ave N, Everett WA 98204 Phone 425-355-6561).

The 1st DYP will start at 12:00pm then a BYP which is to start at 2:00pm. After that there will be another DYP which will start at 6:00pm. Pat has agreed to bring his computer and we can put in up to four tables depending on number of players. The bar is going to run the following specials and dollar ads for the Tournament. So the only item left is your attendance. Hope to see you all there for this great opportunity to play Foosball and visit friends.

The specials are as follows:

Drinks $5.00 each so take your pick from the following:
Jack Daniels
Captain Morgan
Crown Royal
Jaeger bombs or shots $5.00 ea.

All Domestic beers $2.75 per pint.

Bar ads are as follows:

Dollar ads are only to be applied to the 2nd DYP part of the tourney.

1 to 15 teams the bar will add $5.00 per team to the Money
16 and up the bar will add $6.00 per team.

All tournament events will be paid out separately.
Entry fees are as follows:
1st DYP $10.00 per player
BYP $20.00 per player
2nd DYP $10.00 per player
100% pay out from bar ads and entry fees.
Places paid out to be determined by number of teams.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK???? CAN I GET A ESTIMATE ON NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT WILL TRY AND SHOW. I only ask this so that the bar can staff accordingly.

Thank you all for your continued support,

Bill

Oh yah, that location is about 40 mins North of Seattle, so only a hop, skip and jump over the border. I'm just waiting to find out what table as well, so I'll post when I know.

Sounds fun!!

Table is Tornado. Think they are going to be a bit older, but that is to be expected given the type of tourney, so no bitching!! :p Oh yah, they will have new handles tho I've heard.

I may go to this if I am not foosed out. Good possibility I will be.

I keep thinking I will go but then I keep forgetting it is coming up. So there is a good possibility that I will also not go.

Since Nelson is no longer going, who is going, I think Robert Tim and Craig, Is anyone else going?

Does anyone have a decent car? I might be able to con the wife's car away from her for the day but that would cost me in long term points I'd prefer to keep.

It is very cheap to rent a car these days ... Mazda 6 or similar for $75 from June 4th noon till June 6th noon. Split 3 ways that's $25 each ... no biggie.

HotWire.com is what i use when renting a car ... very reasonable rates.

Just make sure you have the extra coverage on your own car insurance already (that covers car rentals) so they don't force you to buy their's ... which is where they make their money.

My car runs just fine, its not particularly comfortable for the one in the back seat, but not much worse than nelsons car.

So we will need a plan. I will try to call you and Gingle Bells at some point.

Author: Viper Reply #12 Posted: Jun 3 2010 9:09PM

a plan would probably be good, I take it im going to need to drive into vancouver to get you guys

Author: Viper Reply #13 Posted: Jun 4 2010 1:53AM

We will have to leave around 8, its a 2 hour ish drive from vancouver.

Will I have to drive into vancouver first or can you get out to surrey?

Author: Viper Reply #14 Posted: Jun 4 2010 1:54AM

also noone has a 4 door car option right which would be far more ideal

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #15 Posted: Jun 4 2010 12:18PM

I can pick up Gingivitis Bells and drive out to Surrey. I will need an address - I will phone.
I will talk to the little missus about borrowing her car but no guarantees can be made. It is four door, hybrid, relatively new, etc. Of course, its accelerator might stick at some point.

Why don't you bring out your namesake for a burn, I guess it is raining though

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #17 Posted: Jun 4 2010 2:40PM

Namesake? That old car? Brakes need some work. Rear axle probably would not last that long of a trip. The gas bill would be prohibitive.

Author: moyatielens Reply #18 Posted: Jun 4 2010 2:43PM

Tim, just make sure it only sticks when ur allowed to go 70 and not 60. 60 is a killer. Believe it or not, Jeff and I got pulled over twice in a half hr for going just over 70 in a 60 zone. Hehe, but with my luck, I got let off both times. ;)

I'm toying with going, but I guess I have to decide pretty soon, huh? Gotta love last minute decisions. After just getting back Wed at like 4am, I bet ya'd think I'd be nuts to drive back so soon, but I am leaning more to the yes side. :p
