Topic: Fireball at Soho Billiards on Saturday Oct 9th

Author: FireballGuy Original Message Posted: Oct 8 2010 1:02AM

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your interest in coming out on Saturday to play Fireball. I will set up 2 tables of the Tour model around 1:00 pm at Soho (1283 Hamilton Street,
Vancouver). It would great if an event schedule and tournament format can be worked out beforehand for better fun and more intense play. I look forward to seeing you all there.

In the meantime, 2 tables will be sent to Edminton for the Nationals Warm-up, and one table will be sent to Ottawa for the Canadian Nationals event. For feedback and suggestions, please email me at foosball_site@yahoo.com or write on this board.

Thank you.

Dennis

Hey I hear you. If you guys want to head down there for a practice on the table tonite, I will bring one and set it up around 8 pm then.

By the way, bring all kinds of balls so you can try them out on the table.

I will probably not make it out tonight. I promised the missus I would have a nice dinner with her.

Dennis showed at around 8:30 with his son and a table. We brought it in with help from Mikey, me and aforementioned and set it up. Swapped out one Tornado for the Fireball and Walla ... game on baby!!!

The table takes a bit of getting use to if you're all about power and have no finesse ... but it does play well regardless. Another table will be brought in Saturday so we can have tournament play.

Should all be happening around 5PM and onwards ... only one person so far can stop my back pin ... i will try to remedy that Saturday Jeffy .

Thanks again Dennis ... lots of work for little reward.

Went down around 5, was only the one table i helped set up. Was a group of people playing 2 ball roller ball and weren't interested in playing regular fooz. Turned around and left ... oh well maybe next time.

Thanks for coming down to play Fireball. I was there around 7:30pm and misssed some people, but I did see about all the players in Vancouver and had good input from them, grat crowd. No wonder Fred misses it back here. We played a small Doubles event and Tuan/Earl won. Went home around 3am. I will be there after 8pm today to play some and take the table to our warehouse after 11pm. Cheers. Sorry Moya I was not there when you/Peter came in yesterday.

Great seeing you Dennis. I hope all your tremedous hard work pays off!! Too bad the fireball ball cant compete with the tornado ball on your table.

BTW how much is a fireball table going for?

can i get a super sizzling deal?

Thanks again Dennis. It was a blast to play on the Fireball. I can't wait for the chance to play on it again.

So Superfly, next time you are playing doubles or singles, if I come over with someone and we want to play 2-ball, you will finish your game and immediately switch to the game WE want to play along with any modifications to the table WE want? Somehow I doubt that.

The rule is and has always been, when a team is holing table and has been playing a certain "variant", then they get to keep playing that until they choose otherwise or someone beats them.

Author: Superfly Reply #19 Posted: Oct 11 2010 8:15PM

You're trying to tell me ... LMAOOOOOOOO !!!

When i was up with Robert and we were holding the table (playing your varmint version of the game) and you and Viper were next, i wanted to play a regular game. Robert and i were holding the table and both viper and you wanted to continue playing the varmint version.

We agreed because we didn't want to make a fuss even though i wanted to play a regular game. Don't get on your high horse with me with your skewed Lawyer talk ... i can see right through you.

Whoever moved the Tornado out, and the Fireball in, can you please move the Tornado back? Currently it's sitting on it's side where you guys initially moved it so you could play Fireball.

I moved the table back and nearly disabled the staff that was helping

Peter, my fault not moving the T-table back after taking the Fireball away. Thanks for backing up.
