Topic: The Oiler's are going to Quebec!!!

So sad to hear about the imminent demise of the Oiler
franchise. One has to wonder what Katz thinks he can
accomplish in Quebec that he is unable to in Edmonton?

One can speculate.Let's see, Katz could try his hand in
Montreal's notorious organized crime syndicate. He could
poach from the ranks of Montreal's elite hit men, perhaps
finding a goomba that score goals.Genius!!Or he could join the Bloc Quebecois, subscribe to their ideology, play
games only in Quebec(against one other team, which means they may win another hockey game).

The reality is,Katz, the Oilers' owner,is merely using
this,as has been reported,as a negotiating tactic,
manipulating city council in to building another arena
for his hapless hockey club.Me thinks Mr.Katz has been sampling too many of the products(mainly from behind the counter)from the 500 drug stores that he owns.

By about 6:00 yesterday Katz had already texted Bob Stauffer (oilers journalist) to clear up some confusion.

The only thing they met about was the approaches they are using to get federal money for funding arena projects, both cities are trying to do that.

Some random journalist started a rumor about the oilers leaving while the meeting was going on, as soon as the meeting ended the rumor ended.

Also the oilers are winning 3-0 after winning the last two games also - we will probably win the cup this year.

I am Wings fan.I support and respect a team that day in and day out, year after year, they produce results.I mean when was the last time they missed the play offs? And the
oilers?Precisely.

If you are talking long term success...The oilers have made the playoffs more times, have won more cups, and have a higher winning percentage than detroit since expansion...

If we are talking current... the oilers are now winning 5-0!
