This week: Am's Choice Draw (We draw the Amateur players name and they pick whoever they want to partner with)

Next week: 2400 Limited (Pick your own partner, as long as the total of the two players points isn't higher than 2400)

2400 points doesn't give Christian many players to choose from. His partner has to be 820 or lower. Looks like Will is trying to find a way to beat you

Hah, yeah, soon Christian won't be able to play in 2400 limited at all. Maybe we should put in a rule saying that if your points are over 1500 you can play with someone rated 900 or lower... or something. It will still come out to more than 2400 obviously but at least he'll be able to play.

logically Christian's teammate will be playing for the other team so it is 3 vs 1
that should drop his points or build tremendous skill

I know a few players from Red Deer that are under 820 - but Simon would probably claim that they are out of town pro's so you can't play with them Christian.

If your points are over 1500 you can play with anyone that has exactly 800 points, there are at least 3-5 regular players that have 800 points right now, and I think it makes sense to have the best player partner up with one of them when we do limited events.

For what its worth, these two events were picked by Cam and Carey respectively. I asked them each to pick an event for the next two weeks and that is what they choose, so its really not me just trying to find a way to beat Christian.

Sorry - i meant if someone has more than 1600 points (and would therefore not be able to partner with anyone) then playing with any 800 point player would be accepted. Maybe we could just increase the limit to 2450 once that happens though.

I'm not sure what you mean Simon?
