Topic: Tornado drops ITSF
Doesn't look like the world cup will have Tornado tables
I definitely won't attend a world cup if they don't have Tornado as an option. Oh well.
ITSF is all about European foosball tables.
Where does it say this? I can't find any info on the multi-table format.
There was a post on FB from fireball saying Tornado is out and fireball is waiting for approval
Maybe it is because the Table has to conform to ITSF single goalie configuration? Does Fireball and the New Warrior have models that will be approved?
I thought I seen on FB something about Tornado expanding internationally,in particular,in to Canada.
Now it seems that the opposite is true.

Tornado expanding has nothing to do with ITSF. If they come to Canada I would be surprised. Fireball is trying to be an ITSF table.
Probably not, considering this was posted on Facebook moments ago:
"Fireball and the forthcoming announcement.
Tornado Table Soccer has officially dropped out of the ITSF.
If is goes to a table, let it be Fireball.
The Fireball team and the proud owners of Fireball tables around the world are waiting for ITSF to announce the possible acceptances into the elite group of OFFICIAL ITSF TABLES. Fireball would be looking forward to joining Garlando, Leonhart, Bonzini and Robert Sport.
Cross your fingers that the ITSF excepts Fireballs request to be made an "Official" ITSF table."

Tornado is 100% out of ITSF. This has been coming for awhile. Tornado did not wish to continue.
Fireball has requested to be an OFFICIAL table of the ITSF, along side Bonzini, Roberto Sport, Garlando and Leonhart. Fireball lobbied when Tec-ball was dropped by ITSF earlier this year and the vote was between Fireball and Leonhart, it went to the German table, Leonhart.
It is still up to ITSF to approve of the move.
Western Open in Portland first weekend in Oct. I hope many of you will make it down. Brad Laurine

I would love to make it, fireball, boomboom room, I need a partner
When does it take affect? If they drop out, but Tornado was used all year as an ITSF table, shouldn't they not finish out the year/contract?
Having Tornado out of the World Cup, and Fireball in (for this year) is bad for everybody.

Letter sent to the owner of Fireball from ITSF
Date: Monday, September 12, 2011, 6:46 AM Dear partner, The vote for sanctioning the 5 Official Tables for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 registration periods has occurred this week end. So, we are glad to inform you that the manufacturers that have been sanctioned as Official Table for these periods are : - Bonzini - Fireball - Garlando - Leonhart - Roberto Sport Congratulations for this great news ! On top of that, Fireball is sanctioned as Official Table for the 2011-2012 registration period because Tornado wishes to withdraw from the ITSF from now. With the arrival of the new conditions of partnership, we hope that everyone is going to play the game so as to develop and promote the table soccer throughout the world as best we could. To begin, with the departure of Tornado, you must name a new president at the head of the Committee of Tables. Finally, we inform you that the deadline to send us the date of your 2012 WCS is December 31, 2011. We wish you a good season. Best regards. Sniff, Yes, you have a solid point... Tornado choose to depart. ITSF excepted their withdrawal.
Fireball was willing to jump in the middle and get the program rolling.
We will look forward to the challenge of completing this year in France.

Looks like Tornado is - as is known in the parlance - 'retrenching to their core business', and tightening the supply chain.
Fortress Tornado.
