Last night we did a Pro/Am Draw at Time Out, and had our standard turnout of 14 players.
Chad and Garry played really well to open the tournament, winning matches against Ed and Chris, then Scott and Conrad, and then taking the kingseat match in dominant fashion against Maria and myself.
Ed and Chris after losing the kingseat match went on a rampage through the B side. Chris has been really consistent with his 5 row for a few weeks, and is hitting all the holes with his roller. At the end of the night I played some pick up games playing the pits for him... it was awesome. Chris plays a technically perfect game, never making mental mistakes. He doesn't get frustrated and make stupid decisions, he just methodically picks apart the opponent and works hard for every ball. He applied that effort all night and along with Ed dropping back pin bombs from the back they fought there way through Paul and Steve, then Kieran and Ritchie, and finally Scott and Conrad in an epic meat ball 3rd game final. I can't remember the final goal but it was a great game that went to the wire.
Maria and I fought through the B side and made it back to the final against Chad and Garry. Maria is one of the smartest and most calming goalies I have played with. She really made smart blocking decisions against Garry, after he completely lit her up in the King seat match. SHe made some really good adjustments and found a way to block more than her fair share, which allowed us to win the match and come away with the tournament win.
Results: 1st Maria and Will 2nd Garry and Chad 3rd Chris and Ed

"which allowed us to win the match and come away with the tournament win."
As well as Maria's fine play, equally as important was your adjustments you made on your 5 bar from the KS match to the finals.

Thanks! My 5 was getting beat up pretty bad in the first match, but was much better in the finals.
