Topic: EXEC VOTE: 2007 National Champions

There seems to be some problem with the Exec only message boards, so i'll have to post here for now.
The TSAC ITSF Committee has come up with the following proposal for how Canada can name its 2007 National Champions:
[start proposal] The Canadian male player that finishes highest at the 2007 Tornado World Championships in Open Singles will be named Canadian Male Singles Champion
The 2 Canadian male players that finish highest at the 2007 Tornado World Championships in Open Singles will be named the Canadian Male Doubles Champion
The Canadian female player that finishes highest at the 2007 Tornado World Championships in Women Open Singles will be named Canadian Female Singles Champion
The 2 Canadian female players that finish highest at the 2007 Tornado World Championships in Women Open Singles will be named Canadian Female Doubles Champion
We decided on singles instead of doubles for doubles champions because it is a known fact that a number of Canadian players play with non-Canadian partners.
In case of a tie (in either singles or doubles), the onus is on the players that finished in the tie to play a heads-up best 2/3 match to decide who finishes higher and report the results to TSAC. In the case of more than 2 players tied (for example in the 17-24 bracket, etc), a round-robin can be organized and the results reported to TSAC. If there exists a tie, and no heads-up results are reported, TSAC will select amongst the tied players using USTSA points.
We feel this gives the most serious players a chance at becoming National Champions and representing Canada in Italy and is preferable to any local event that can be organized in time. [end proposal]
Exec you have until Thursday, Aug 2, 2007 11:59pm to email your vote if we should accept this proposal.
Only Email NO votes to me.
All other votes will be considered YES votes.
If accepted, the above proposal will replace the previous way we voted to determine our National Singles Champion (in the ultimatefoos event) - voted Feb 2, 2007.
