Subject: Request for information

Good Day Mr. Dunn,

The International Federation sent us an invitation to host the World Championships. Although it seems like a very interesting idea, we suggested that your federation look first at the interest of the clubs in Montréal. As soon as I have your address, I will be able to send you the letter we sent Mr. Lounas at the ITSF, as well as the documents and brochures that they sent us.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Sylvie,

thanks so much for reaching out to us.

Our mailing address is
...my address...

I'm quite sure the clubs in Montreal would be very interested in attending and helping make an event like this happen, although the local players would not be able to play in the event, as it is only the national champions and top rated world teams that could actually compete. Each country gets to send their very best, much like the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships.

Hundreds of players from all across the world would be traveling to the ITSF World Championships, along with various types of media, and table manufacturers.

There's no doubt that you would find many volunteers within the local foosball clubs to help with the smaller tasks of such an event (and we will definitely help get them in touch with organizers), but it would take a huge amount of planning, and preparation, just as any major international sporting event would. A large venue, suitable hotel space for all the athletes and media, possibly translation services, food availability, possibly help with travel planning, etc, that I'm sure the city of Montreal is well equipped to handle.

The Table Soccer Association of Canada will be able to help with all matters of sport of course, plus we'd be able to help with planning, organization, and any other things along those lines.

we look forward to your reply,

Eric Dunn
President, Table Soccer Association of Canada
