Topic: where to buy accessories in canada?
|
|
Hey,
i'm looking for wraps, foot levelers, etc. for my T2000 and the only places online i could find are american. I don't feel like paying $10-13 shipping on $1.50 wraps. Does anyone know any Canadian sites where i can purchase foosball items? Thanks.

I actually phoned them on Thursday about the exact same thing, they don't carry wraps. He said he would look into ordering some and to phone back in a month or so to see if he managed to get any in stock.
I ended up ordering them online from foosball.com. I just made a somewhat large order to avoid having to make numerous orders and wasting money on shipping. Now that I think about it I should have asked if others were interested in placing an order to save on shipping.

They are tennis wraps, any tennis pro shop will have them.

can anyone confirm they are the same as tennis wraps? if that's the case that definitly makes life easier for us canadians lol

To clarify - thick wraps are actual wraps and thin wraps are over-wraps.
I am correct hehe also the grippyness is a matter of taste so you will have to sample a few types. Roll over shooters tend to be more picky about their wraps.

I think those are the ones I usually buy. Wilson Overgrip, they have them at Sportsmart or most sports stores. A pack of 3 is 9.99 + tax.
The only reason I ordered them online is because they're cheaper and have more variety, plus I had to order some Tornado men for my table anyways. You can find them online for about $1-2 a piece usually compared to 3.50 each in store.

They are tennis racket over-grips. I've used one variety or another for years. I hate to agree with the e-challenged one, but in this case he is correct.

Raquets and Runners always had a good selection. But, in general they can be found in almost any large sports store (sport check eg.)

|
thanks a lot guys. any suggestions for someone who uses the pull shot more than the snake?
|
|
Pull shooters tend to be a little less picky about the wraps than a rollover shooter. I use a medium thickness medium tackiness, it seems to last longer than a high tackiness or thin thickness without loosing any feeling from a thick wrap.
I either use the medium wraps from foosball.com or Head over-wraps from sportscheck

hey guys. thanks for the advice. i went to sportcheck and bough the wilson pro overgrip. lol can't go wrong 3 for 9.99. BUT the question i have is that the underside is sticky. will that ruin the wood handles when i take them off since other people who play don't use them? thanks
|
|
lol nevermind. they are fine for the handles. and h-o-l-y cow. lol for someone who's never used wraps before i've got to say it really helps! thanks for all the help guys!

There are ones with a sticky underside and some without. I never use the ones with the sticky, but if you do/did, they might be tougher to pull off the first time.
