Topic: Slow Motion Foosball Shots

Author: Kent Original Message Posted: Apr 12 2008 10:27PM

Well I got a new camera that does HD slow motion video at 240fps. I am still learning how to use this camera but I managed to take a couple videos and posted them to CalgaryFoos. They are currently in Windows Media format and should play in IE & Firefox (with correct plug-in). Once I get the right video tools I will post the video's in Flash format so that people on Linux and MAC's can view them as well.

Here is the direct link.

Over time I will take more videos of players actual shots like Darrel, Matt, Eric, Brian, and more.

I will also make some real training videos of 5-bar passes, 2-bar shots and more as time permits.

Cheers

Kent

Weak... Slowest pulls I've ever seen :p...
Thumbs up for the cross platform support (or at least the intent).

I have a few more slow motions shots from Rick, Andy, Brian, and Kevin that I will post tonight.

Man does Brian have a slow Pull shot.

That video of Lube's pull was real time, no?

Kent, maybe Brian could benefit from the 'speed up' feature on that camera of yours. Combined with photoshop aid, anything's possible

It was a good pull shot once he hit the net. I thought I was going to run out of the 120GB of disk space before he hit the net.

haha

I have posted some shots from Andy, Brian, Kevin, and Rick. The shots are in slow motion and then slowed down even more. Enjoy this POC.

I even posted a sample of what can be done in HD but at a lower resolution with Rick and Linda playing.

I'd love to see more slow mo vids of the most popular shot out there, over and over.Just dont see enough of the roller!

Tell Andy to go long - those shots are barely making it to the 4-hole. It's not like sex, you can't get by with a simple 3 or 4 shorty, you need the full long.

Lol at hearing Greg U for the first time in a long time 2 seconds into "Linda and Rick".

Blah, don't mind Tim. He gets his shot off in 3 seconds flat, it sprays widly into the wall, and he then says, "sorry baby, I swear that's never happened before,"

The worst of it is, he keeps coming back and playing with his rods. He calls these games 'funzies'...

That's why I'm Luke Skywalker and Tim's "Hand Solo" get it? hand solo , hahahahh

Very cool. Plays just fine on a Mac. (needs Flip4Mac).

Hey Richard! Good to hear from you.

Do still have a copy of the video you put together with the Kill Bill score? I thought of it right away when I saw this thread and would've linked to it - but the old vancouverfoosball/coolchameleon link was a dead-end.
