Author: .Garry Original Message Posted: Jul 22 2008 5:26PM

I have a flight booked for the world's, and I'm in need of a partner for

Open Doubles
Semi Pro Doubles

If you are interested let me know asap. Does not have to be both events.

I also am looking for a roomie(s) to split costs.

Looks like I may not have a doubles partner for Vegas in Sept.

I'm looking for a possible partner for Amateur doubles, Semi Pro doubles and Open Doubles.

Email me at paulsgee18@hotmail.com or call me at (306) 591-0427 if you're interested.

Thanks

There is a discussion on the TSAC website concering how we're going to assemble Team Canada at this years Tornado World Championships

here: http://tablesoccerca.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=1985405%3ATopic%3A1108

We're looking for input, and for players to let us know if they are going or not, and if they are going are they interested in attempting to qualify for Team Canada.

Timbo,

Turn off your spell checker and come down to Soho tonight. Tryouts for Tema Candada are going on tonight.

Wear something Kramer like - or do I need to ask?

some sudden "life changes" have led me to seriously consider Vegas. I might put out a few feelers to see if any of my old partners are still kicking, but its obviously getting pretty late.....so ...I know its a tough sell, but...send me an email if anyone out there is interested in playing Open, pro or "Canadian doubles" with an over-the-hill and out-of-practice goalie. (I am actually playing surprisingly well considering that I probably played more foos this last Thursday, Friday and Saturday than I did in the preceding 2 years)

http://vifa.com/Worlds%2008%20Table%20Letter.pdf

So does this letter pretty much say that they are going to use the exact same table men and balls as they did in the hall of fame? and after this years worlds, they are going to change it all?

Author: Red Pepper Reply #24 Posted: Sep 16 2008 2:50PM

Yea, after Worlds they will be using the new ball etc. They just did a test trial recently in Texas I think (maybe it was Minnesota) but I doubt they will pull it out for worlds. The changes after the Worlds will be the removal of the sidestrip, and possibly going to the 1 man goalie. I am not sure if the handles are going to be changed at worlds, but they may be as well (to the plastic). As with every major, I guess we will see when we get there.

Email I recieved from Valley

The tournament will be played on the same tables that we have always had
... men, balls, handles. Same as the Hall of Fame event. However going into
next season we will be using the new tables ... which we will have 4 at the
event for players to play on and give feedback on. See you in Vegas !!!

Thanks
