Topic: Edmonton Results for Tuesday Mar. 3rd

Author: Will Original Message Posted: Mar 4 2009 12:38PM

Well last night went even better than expected, We had 24 players, with a ton of even matchups. Thanks everyone for coming out! We did a Expert-Am draw and for the most part it went really well. Sorry to Paul and Chad for getting bumped to the expert bracket for this one, we had a few more beginners than we did experts. That decision was based off your points/results lately. The good news is that the payouts were really big, and beginners had just as much of a chance to win as experts.

Check www.netfoos.com to see the bracket and results, as well as all the info for your personal stats.

As for the points… I had the points calculate without the Beginner Doubles results. I don’t think it is fair for me to use those, as it ends up putting people that don’t belong there in the top few players on the chart. For the beginners that this effects by reducing there points, it is cool to have more points, but if I keep those points on your chart, you would draw other beginners in the Pro-Am draws, and that would make it less fun for both you and the partner you draw. Also this update effects people that have played beginners that accumulated a lot of points from the beginner tournaments, although it only effected points slightly.

Pro-Am Results:
1st: $80 - Will(Expert) and Phil(am)
2nd $40 - Roger(Expert) and Greg(am)
3rd $25 - Garry(Expert) and Sam(am)
4th: $15 -Matt(Expert) and Darren(am)

Oh ya, Phil great job playing in the back, you blocked some REALLY good players more than they were expecting to be blocked. For only your 2nd time on tornado your clearing was working really well too.

Greg - wow you found really good holes man. Nice timing on your shots.

Ben - why did your 5 dominate me so bad in singles for two games right before the tournament? I thought we were going to lose to you guys for sure coming into that game. Do you have a partner for next week?

Ya I don't know what was happening last night, felt like I had never touched a foosball table before. Hopefully the feel is back for next Tuesday. And no partner for next week, I'll play with you as long as Christian doesn't watch any games, he controls the ball with his mind.

K ben, lets put a good run together tomorrow night, we'll just make sure christian never watches.

Not sure if anyone plays in Saskatoon anymore, so you may want to add links to these posts on www.reginafoos.com where there is actually a player base.

There has been some preliminary discussions about attending Foozapalooza this year from Regina players.
