Topic: anyone got warrior balls?

Author: foosghost Original Message Posted: Apr 8 2009 1:19PM

Anyone got any extra warrior balls they can share / send me?

I'm going to atlanta (Warrior US Open) at the end of the month, and thought if some people closer to me had some, I could get them sooner than later and be able to practice a bit.

Or has anyone dealt with warrior - and are they fast shipping stuff out?

Craig has the only warrior ball in Vancouver that I know of... I lost mine when I came back. Try the Ottawa board, lots of people in Ontario seem to have warrior tables.

I'll see you in Atlanta...

Ben, Sam, and Zak have a warrior table at there place in Edmonton. The four of us bought it together. I dealt with warrior trying to arrange the shipments. email dave hopfinger about it, i don't have his email address handy but i can try to look it up.
The problem is... last time i talked to them they wouldn't sell any balls. you have to buy a table to get one. I think 4 balls came with the table, if you want to pay shipping we can possibly send you one eric.

It is very different from playing with the new tornado ball, unlike what has been posted on other boards. It is an adjustment that is easy to make, but its much harder to switch back to tornado after. You can easily do everything you can do with a tornado ball, it is slower for stick passing and tick tacks so that is a slight adjustment. The warrior table plays similar with the newest tornado side strips as well, because the ball doesn't jump at all. The only other thing is that the posts are in a little bit, and i notice when i first play on warrior i hit the corner quite a bit. Also playing the ball off the back wall to your 3 is very easy in singles.

I only have my one ball and need to practice with it myself sorry.

The big thing on warrior is/was you have to use less power on your rollovers, otherwise they will go up and hit the top of the net.

The rods were heavy, hoping its going to be corrected.

Banks are in play again.

The balls are slow and super grippy.

and unless the tables are radically changed from Kentucky till when you bought your table, unless the opponent has horrible reflexes the ball is not coming off the back wall to your 3.

I got my pro-dubs partner sending me some balls from LA. so i'm all set.

yea i had no trouble adjusting my 5 and 3 in ottawa, and kentuky state, but its the 2bar, that is so different, you hardly need to try to hit it.
