Topic: Calgary Tournament Videos

Author: Kent Original Message Posted: May 12 2009 1:13AM

We have posted a few videos on CalgaryFoos.com. The files are still large even though I converted them to mp4 format. On special request I can provide the High Def ones to people but it would have to be in person for now since they are over 1GB in size.

I will try uploading the files to skydrive but the files will need to be in parts since the max upload size if 50MB. Let me know if you want me to do this as the downloads speeds would be a lot better (faster) than CalgaryFoos.

Enjoy.

My computer won't let me download these vids. They are safe to download yes?

Yes they are safe to download.

My max upload speed (your download) is 100K so if a lot of people start downloading it could take a long time. Sorry about that not much I can do here.

I am in the process of testing splitting files and loading them up to skydrive. They will automatically rebuild the original files when the executable is run. This will take me a while to do though but in the end it will mean fast downloads for everyone since they files are large.

This High Def looks excellent and the mp4 ones look good but nothing like the high def ones.

Is it possible for you to upload this to a torrent site like pirate bay or something. Then we could have multiple seeders (uploaders) and people can download it faster?

For those of you that have managed to download the videos how is the quality? I would think they are better than the DVD's that you buy at the worlds. Yes would could have a better angle but the lights were in the way. I am look for full screen quality. I think the mp4's are great and if you get a chance try the .mts files which are 1080i. I will start uploading them to a fast site for downloading over the next few days.

In future tournaments we can do a better job but these were just a last minute idea.

cheers

I am uploading the videos to SkyDrive (part of Hotmail). Once it is complete you can download them from there. Link will be posted once the first video is uploaded.

For the Calgary Players if you want a copy just bring a flash or usb drive on Thursday night to the DYP and I will copy the files to the drive on a first come first come basis. 4GB should be good for the MP4 files and larger for the MTS files.

Cheers.

Here is a link to the skydrive with all the MP4 files. They are in 40MB pieces and the .EXE file will rebuild the file.

Use this link for faster downloads.
