Last night we did a ProAm again, I think it went really well and everyone had a good time. It was nice to see Tom and Ritchie out again, we had a bunch of really good teams because of that. Some other notes about last night: Paul and Sam were both scoring like mad from the back, I was sitting near a table when sam shot a pull from the back and it made that sound when the ball has backspin on it and just rockets into the net then the big thud on the back of the net. Nothin but tin. It was awesome. Christian now has almost 100 points more than the next closest competitor. Ritchie was scoring really high percentage with his push kick. Look how many points Paul has now... thats what he deserves after finishing 2nd one week then first this week. Good playing paul! After the tournament was done, Lindsay and Christian were playing against Desmond and I in a roto pickup game... I was playing back, and lindsay shot backwards off his 2 bar, off the back wall and into my net. It was impressive and I was stunned by it. the very next ball, after switching, Christian had the ball on his 2 bar, and fired it off the back wall into my net. I have never seen that shot executed that way before, it was actually a fast shot. Too funny. Never do that to me agian. |

lol Only those 2 would take the opposite approach and shoot away from their opponents nets to try and score. btw- Sam played awesome last night-bricking Roger and scoring well- we would have placed better if my cold wasn't causing serious pressure on my brain-lol |

Sure Garry, Blame it on the cold ......  I'll blame my 4 losses back to back to get Roger and I out of the tournament on my lack of skill. I think that I will get better though - I now have wraps! Thanks to Lindsey  |

Maybe u should have "wrapped" Roger's 3 bar-lol worst I've ever seen him shoot. BTW we did 2 straight u 2 with my horrible playing- what kind of hope does that give u 4 the future?????  BTW2- Lindsey's wraps r jinxed- lose them fast |

One of the pickup games - I caught you by surprise with that 5 bar hack.... heh heh.... Des- and I thought that pickup game that we played was doubles- good of u 2 take full credit 4 the win-lol. I'm glad that u won at least one game that nite- looks good on your foos resume-lol  |

Desmond you beat christian in singles with a 5 bar hack. I was watching that one! Sometimes it just makes you double post i'm not sure why it is but it happens sometimes. |

He did beat me on a singles challenge table a couple weeks ago- that was the night when i lost 1 game in an hr and a half- with 3-5 people challenging.  my double post was a shot at Des- I had to hit the post reply button twice to do it- don't know what his issue is-lol |

Yeah Garry, it was 2 weeks ago. I was pretty proud of myself cause you were the first pro I beat ever, so I guess that's why it was one to remember for me. You're a great player (and I really do mean it), so count it an honour that it meant so much to me that I got one in on you. You losing one game in 1 1/2 hours itself shows that you are a good player that you can stand up to pressure. With Christian, I think we did more fooling around than playing. Christian was just practicing so I didn't really count it as a beat. He was trying all sorts of crazy stuff. Anyway, I hope that we all have many more great games to come - that's how we get better right? Cheers. I'll try not to double post anymore |

Actually Garry, I've been meaning to thank you because you are the first person to ever tell me anything about defense when I was paired up with you my very first week 4 weeks ago. I never knew that you were supposed to move the guys around, I always though you just had to play "stop" defense and race the offense to the hole. Thanks. So I will attribute my basic defense to your teachings  |

Thanks 4 the props Des. I don't know if I would go so far as calling me "great" It is nice to see new players like yourself come out and want to improve their games. Being open to suggestions is the key(whether it works immediately or not) and practicing, which u seem to enjoy. And the trash talk is meant to be fun-hopefully u don't take it personally(unless it's with Lindsey)  - it just keeps this board lively. |
