Last night we did an Open DYP. For the most part it was a really good tournament... Sam and Christian won the tournament, in impressive fashion. Christian really added a whole new level last night I think. It was a 5 bar demolition against Ben and I in the final, and he shot really well too. Sam also played great, nothing came out to the 3 off the back wall, and every time it was a good shot, pass, or clear. Also I want to congratulate Ben, who was my partner last night. I think that is the best you have ever played and the games against Tom/Paul and Simon/Chris were excellent. This was the first final that we have ever had that the age totals(the 4 player ages added up) doesn't break 100. 24+24+24+22 If someone had said that we would have a final with people that age in it about a year ago we would have wondered who was here from out of town. |

I see the payouts were more evenly distributed this week. Here is what you have payed out in the last 4 weeks. Not very consistant. Jun-30 1st 48% Jun-30 2nd 33% Jun-30 3rd 19% Jul-07 1st 57% Jul-07 2nd 29% Jul-07 3rd 14% Jul-14 1st 42% Jul-14 2nd 37% Jul-14 3rd 21% Jul-21 1st 47% Jul-21 2nd 32% Jul-21 3rd 21% I suggest you use the following 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% |

We write down what the payouts are going to be before the tournament every week. I do agree that the week you won the payouts were not proportionate... If I had written those payouts out I probably would have done it differently. That said I do put a lot of trust in Garry to help run our tournaments and he wrote those ones out. Pretty much every decision Garry has ever made has turned out well and he has been very fair and reliable to this point. I will give you 10 bucks next tournament if you don't complain about it anymore   Really it has only been one week that the payouts were not fair.It might be a good idea to standardize the payouts a bit. I'll talk to chad and we'll come up with something. |

Garry has been in 51% of the finals... Thats pretty good. I now plan on taking my finals average up from 36% to above 50. |

"I would rather you keep the ten bucks so I can point out the descrepancies" I was worried you would say that  I appreciate when you have candid complaints that you bring personally to me and I would feel better about addressing them that way than publicly. I like that tuesday night foosball has a very positive attitude surrounding it and it is a goal of ours(not mine and chads specifically, but the entire group of the edmonton foosball association) to keep it positive. I think that your suggestion is a good one though and I'll update you and everyone via the message board and verbally on tuesday based on what we decide. |

" Not to sound cocky, arrogant, or at all like an ego-maniac...... nevermind lol Some other 'interesting' and much more impressive data would include Christian having a 9-2 thats right 9-2 record against Will. Being tournament director I understand there are mitigating circumstances for having such a poor record..............9-2 Christian has appeared in 55% of the finals. Christian also has the highest win % of any regular player at 73%. Christian has placed top 3 in 75% of the tournaments. The most impressive stat would also included a whopping FIFTY thats FIVE-OH 50% tournament win rate. By the way, Christian will update these numbers on a weekly basis so all his fans can track his excellent progress. Christian will also be referring to himself in the third person from now on to properly distance himself in order to express how truly great Christian is. |

Since we're bringing up stats - Garry would like to as well. Garry was tied at one point with Roger 7-7- Garry now leads 12-7... hmmmmm??? Garry's reaction to slopmaster seems to have worked! Garry also leads with top 3 % at an amazing 78%- WOW Garry also is the only one who knows the rules-awesome job!!!! |

This is awesome. I hope everyone does more trashtalking this week. I'm not going to update Christians stats because "Christian will update these numbers on a weekly basis so all his fans can track his excellent progress" Lets just say it was fun nicknaming him "49" this week. |

Take my word for it that this past week went well and after the next tourny (which I will win according to the aforementioned 1/2 win rate) my stats will be nearing a godlike level. P.S. fan(s) If your 3 bar is as bad as the last time we played then no one has much to worry about... Chistian says "hey will what can I do to make my pull shot better?" Will replies "hit the net" The funny thing about that is that you shouldn't be forced to shoot a pull. |
