Topic: How should we qualify our team for the World Cup

Author: Will Original Message Posted: Jul 24 2009 8:38PM

There is a discussion on http://tablesoccerca.ning.com relating to how we should qualify spots for players on Team Canada at the world cup in france this january.

Also on the site there is tons of other interesting stuff - its worth signing up for to read the posts on there if you like to check out the foos message boards.

We will be having a vote to decide how to qualify the world cup team spots, if you have an idea that you would like included in the vote go and post it on Table Soccer Canada message board.

Just to make it fair for everyone, I think that the senior event player should be open to any over the hill guys like me so long as they at one time were the coach for China and are already in possession of a world championship trophy.

Sounds fair to me anyway.

Oh yeah. And they should also have a wife who won't mind them paying their own way to travel to France to play on a bunch of foosball tables that they have never played on before and get slaughtered on.

I agree with Fredrock. Also, old balding guys with a well-known penchant for wearing Hawaiian style shirts should also be assured a spot on the roster which they can then waffle about for a while before finally giving it up because they are too cheap to buy the plane tickets.

Eric should just select the team, or the ctsf commutee.

or take a pool of who is actually willing to spend the money to fly over there, and then IF there is a need to pick a team do so.
