Hey Will, I would like to run an additional event at the Edmonton Tournament. I was thinking it could run throughout the weekend when there was time and of course it wouldn't interfere or confilct your timing in any way. Here is the idea. The Retro Tournament Soccer Event  - Open to anyone born prior to 1970 with prior TS experience. - 10.00 per head to get in - Singles/Doubles to be decided - Played on my Gagarge Sale Table (i'll bring it in) - 100% payback. Winner takes all cash, second place gets a parting gift (can of pledge) - No Rollovers! - No Wraps - Gloves optional - pins, banks, pushkicks and pullkicks ect.  I think this would be a fun event that would add to the success of your tournament. Let me know what you think and if there is anyone else that thinks this is a good idea or it really sucks then post a message. |

Old school- gotta luv it!!!!!!!!!! Shouldn't limit it to age though- let everyone play that can shoot anything but a monkey shot...lol |

I think that is an awesome idea, I also don't think it should be limited to age though - if it is your event then that is fine, you can run it however you want. I probably wouldn't play even if the age limit was taken off, but only because I will be very busy with other things - I hope I get to play a pick up game on the table though. I will make sure gateway is ok with bringing in a "free play" table, they take a cut on cash so they might have a problem with it that way. Make sure you have a lot of extra men too, I remember from back in the day that they broke all the time  |

yeah, my next stop is ebay for some men. I am trying to locate some original TS balls as well. The ones with the TS stamped on the ball with the circle around it. If any oldtimers have anything kicking around there basements they want to sell I would be happy to take them off your hands. yeah, we could trash the age limit as long as this event doesn't get to big! We could charge a dollar a head for a table fee to be paid to gateway if they have a problem with the free play. |

K i'm sure it will work out then. We could just cap the registration at the first 32 people or something. Let people email you ahead of time if they really want to play, you could make sure to email/call the old boys to make sure you get the tournament filled with the guys you want to play with too. |
