Good Tournament on Tusday! It was nice to get out and play some foosball again after the little break after nationals.

We did a pro/am draw, and Christian (with a bunch of help from sam) increased his ridiculous winning percentage creep back up. Good job guys! Also Paul and Garry played really well and it is nice to see that.

Carey/Darcy did excellent as well. Carey is getting his old form back (and is no longer a rookie in edmonton) and Darcy is really coming along, I am impressed by the roller/brush passing... Have you been stealing my game?

I'm still waiting on two more charts to come back in so I can enter them... but here is a long overdue points update!

This week - open doubles and No Pro Doubles.

You have to have less than 900 points to play no pro doubles.

I'll be there, anyone need a partner?

Author: Darcy Reply #19 Posted: Oct 17 2009 3:30PM

also, i can't play no-pro?

Author: Will Reply #20 Posted: Oct 17 2009 9:08PM

Darcy and also Phil D can play nopro even though they have more than 900 points.

Author: C.A.L. Reply #21 Posted: Oct 17 2009 11:27PM

Does this mean I can play in no-pro as a semi ??

So is it Tuesday for Open doubles & No -Pro doubles?

Author: Will Reply #22 Posted: Oct 18 2009 10:18PM

Sorry Carey you can't play no pro as a semi - only players that are under 900 points and the two exceptions(they are exceptions because I think the other "nopro" players can compete with them, but you are a virtual lock to win a "nopro" event.

Both events are on tuesday night, we start open at 730 and no pro a little later on.

Author: Will Reply #23 Posted: Oct 18 2009 10:23PM

As a side note - if you are a solid goalie that needs a power forward as a partner for the future, you should really consider playing with Darcy - not just for this event but hopefully for the future major events also.

Darcy does have serious game now, he and Carey beat Uzair and myself last week as well as some other strong teams. They finished 3rd, not by coincidence either. Darcy has an improving 5 bar, really strong 5 bar d, a deceptive/smart roller among other things. Des or Paul maybe? this might be a good time to think about it

Author: ALBERTs Reply #24 Posted: Oct 19 2009 1:25PM

can I play no pro, or am i in the open section (my 1016 ranking is a tad inflated, don't you think?)

in any case, anyone need a partner?

if not, see you tuesday night :)

Author: S. Edwards Reply #25 Posted: Oct 19 2009 1:55PM

Albert, I will team up with you.

Author: ALBERTs Reply #26 Posted: Oct 19 2009 2:22PM

Simon see you Tuesday.

Author: Will Reply #27 Posted: Oct 19 2009 5:09PM

Albert, you are in the same boat as Carey. Too much experience to be beginner/no pro. your points are a little inflated but you keep winning, so you keep getting points.
