There was some difficult draws for some top pro's and some interesting teams also. Shane and Mike played together, I think they look really good partnering with eachother. It seemed that they gave eachother confidence and have personality traits that compliment eachother. Mike played some of the best foos I have seen him ever play when they beat us. Shane of course has the always dominant 5 bar and unique scoring method(s) from the 3 bar. Enough to win them the tournament. Congrats guys! Chad and I finally drew eachother, it marks the first time we have ever played any event together - believe it or not. We have good chemistry from playing hundreds of pickup games together and knowing eachothers games inside out which was fun. Roger and Des played together also, Des is really coming along and now has one of the strongest 2 bars in edmonton, certainly the best of the "nonpro" players in Edmonton I would say now. Garry has somehow landed every single "raw beginner" player that has ever come to our tournament. It didn't stop this week - Garry drew Steve - who has some decent singles game but has never seen tournament play before. It was probably frustrating for Garry but I have to applaud your ability to shrug it off and make sure that your partners always have a good time.
