Hey Dylan and Jordan - I am wondering what you guys thought of the event as far as format goes. Would you prefer the standard format with actual rookie events or do you like the way this event was run for the format?
Any other suggestions or thoughts would also be appreciated

I liked the format. It allowed for more games against the pros, which I find to be the best way to learn. That said, it would have been nice to play more of the rookies to see how we compare.
Instead of having the bottom half of the pools play one large bracket you could then split it into brackets by rank. That might it a little messy though, and I don't know if it would be a better experience or not, but it's an idea.
In the end I'd take the format that was used over the standard. My favourite part of the tourney was playing through my singles pool, even though I didn't win a single match.

What is Mariachi doing? Maybe you could bring her too.

I took Joe, Rick, and Christian to game 3 so you can be quiet.
Mariachi and I both have a big essay due on monday, but there's always time for foos right?

Thanks for your thoughts Dylan. I was thinking that maybe next year I will have the Open events the same, but not have a B side. Also we could have Rookie and Semi events that are just a normal double elimination bracket.

Those are good results btw - but Christian is a chump and you probably should have beat him.

Will how large of a tournment do you plan on and when?

I would suggest a tourny 6weeks after any Calgary planned one should they do one in March-April.

Let one tournment encourage to draw players to enter the next.
