Last night we did a ProAm DYP. There was a solid turnout again and with 4 tables now we can really get through the tournaments in decent time. It was nice to see some old faces and new faces back out, as well as the regulars. Also.. Happy Birthday Sam! Ben and Chris won the Pro Am, and it was really quite impressive. They didn't lose any matches and pretty much dominated the teams they played on every level. Chris bricked every 3 bar, and cleared well. Ben won all the 5 bar wars I watched and shot high percentage also. Very impressive win guys! Another point worth mentioning is Carey totally taking his game to the next level. Carey is hitting his long pull so easily and quickly it seems unstoppable for most players. Chad played really well as my partner in our 3rd place finish. We wouldn't have got near there if it wasn't for Chad. Any night that I score more dinks than any other shot I need to have someone carry me and Chad did that last night. 1st $60 Ben and Chris 2nd $30 Des and Christian 3rd $25 Chad and Will |

Points Update: We are now using a base points of 800. This is a feature Netfoos added this fall so that new players that walk in don't get to be near the top of the pack just because they have only played once. This might affect the top of the list a little bit, but makes huge changes to the bottom of the list making it way more accurate. You can see guys that have won lots of games but not had the chance to bounce out of the bottom because they fell low in the first month or two that didn't go well for them. This is permanent and is a really good improvement. I hope you all enjoy it! Next week - Singles We will be adding in a "Expert" singles event for this week. Pretty much we will start as always with the Open Singles event, then after a couple rounds are through there will be a Beginner Singles event starting, and after another round of Open is done we will start Semi-Pro. These players can only play open. Oh ya and if you havn't checked recently you should check out your stats on netfoos.com they really are awesome. It is worth looking at if you have never checked. You have to log in to the forum so that you can click on your own player stats. Go look at it. |

Will thanks for the supportive comment on my pull-shot, but the big upswing that night has to be the play of Uzair. He played stable and steady and scored some very needed goals to help in winning our matches against Rodger/Blair? [The Big Bank-shot for 2-bar]and Garry/Jody. We ended up 4th which is the highest placing for Uzair in any Pro-am or other event recorded on the Net-foos site for his results. The Net-foos site posting also show he has played with Simon & Garry, plus yourself (Will) before in Pro-am's. Of these three match-ups no match victories were achieved.  My play may be a bit better, but Uzair surprised me and probably a few others. Good effort Uzair, keep learning and play smart , results improve as shown.  |
