Topic: Any interest in purchasing Warrior tables?

Author: Will Original Message Posted: Jan 29 2010 7:11PM

I have been talking to Brendan Flaherty from Warrior, i'm wondering how much interest there is in purchasing Warrior tables in Canada?

I think you would be looking at about $500 CAD. They would be avaliable to take from WEM after the tournament in March.

I would have to see up close and play on the thing 1st.
Is it their new revised model....home or coin-op?

$500.00 ? hmm..

They only make a home model, and I am ballparking the price a bit. I need to figure out what the shipping cost will be, but I won't know that until they are landed because of all the stupid duties and taxes and brokerage fees.

I have been told the new one plays great though... The new side strips eliminate all dead spots. The cabinet is put together better... Lots of improvements. New men on these tables too, the new man debut's officially at the us open this year in Atlanta.

I'm looking for a table, if there's a demo table at the tournament in March, and they're good enough to play on I may pick one up.

So I was going to buy a Tornado, but now I'm not sure. Sounds like I might be the only playing Tornado in a year or so. At least this is the impression I'm getting from the last few threads. Can somebody please offer me some insight/opinion here. I really want to buy a Tornado, but not if I'm the only one using it.

I think tornado is still a safe table to purchase. Been around forever, still an offiial itsf table, plays great, etc.

Warrior is putting in an effort to grow Foos... Tornado will only benefit from that, not dissapear because of it. Just my opinion/guess at how things will unfold.

I wouldn't mind picking up a table but I just want it to be fun to play on, as opposed to something that's used for tourny prep. The FireBall has sparked my intrest. If you had a couple of those up there next month I might take one.

I haven't played much on a Warrior, just briefly at a friends house. I have to say, though, that the ball control is superb. Slightly slower gameplay than a tornado, I found, probably due to the heavier rods and ball. Regardless still a fun foostastic experience!!!
