This week we did singles, and had a really competitive group of Foosers out. Christian has obviously regained the form he had before the short break he took and after finishing 1-2 last week took first place this week. I spent about a week thinking about how to play 5 bar d against Christian, and that worked really well for me. I knocked Christian into the losers bracket, only to run into shane right after that. I played Shane and even though I played really well, Shane was on his game too. One incredible moment was shane hitting a 2 bar bank shot off a ball that was coming off his back wall. That kind of deflated me and Shane really was strong the whole time. Simon played Carey in the other bracket, and Carey had a strong showing. The game went all the way to meat ball, and Simon put it away with a long pull - which seemed to be working pretty well. Simon made his way through his side of the chart - and played shane in the kingseat game. I didn't see the game, but when I asked Simon who won, Simon told me he got steamrolled by shane. I ended up playing Garry in the losers bracket, and got up to a quick 3-0 lead. Garry started shooting lights out on me, I dont think I have played against him and had him pick his spots and timing that well ever before. Great shooting and great playing all around in that game. In the end Simon lost to Christian in the losers bracket, and Christian double dipped Shane to win the tournament. Singles is always fun for me, I hope you all enjoyed it too.
